The Studio
A small practice, closely held.
Milli Studio is a boutique architectural design practice based in Sydney. We work on a small number of residential and small commercial projects each year — new homes, alterations and additions, duplexes, and interior architecture.
We were founded on the belief that good architecture asks careful questions before it draws lines. Our projects are shaped by the specific rhythms of the people living in them, and the specific character of the site they sit on.
We keep the studio deliberately small so that the architect leading your first meeting is the same person drawing every detail and standing on site with the builder.

Zhen founded Milli Studio after more than a decade in award-winning residential practices across Sydney and Melbourne. Her work is characterised by a quiet confidence in plan, a fluency in materials, and an obvious care for the people who will eventually live in the rooms she draws.
She holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Sydney, and is a registered architect in New South Wales.
